En testarena med unika förhållanden

Luftkorridoren mellan Östersund och Röros är ett meteorologiskt och topografiskt intressant område för tester av elflyg och drönare. Dessutom finns det existerande infrastruktur i området och kunniga aktörer inom flygsektorn, som tillsammans skapar mycket bra förutsättningar för en testarena.

Klimat

Östersund is known for its bitter winter climate, large amounts of snow, challenging wind conditions and strong cold. The summers are short and often offer rapidly varying weather, one day hot and dry weather, the next day heavy rain, strong winds and occasionally even snow in the higher regions.

Luftrum

Green Flyway testarena har ett världsunikt luftrum för tester.

Nuvarande luftrumsutformning kombinerat med dagens möjligheter att få tillfälliga testtillstånd gör att det är möjligt att komma igång med tester omgående. Green Flyway kommer
i närtid utforma luftrumslösningar som underlättar testverk- samhet samtidigt som det inte inskränker tillgängligheten till samma luftrum för allmänflyg, helikopterverksamhet, ”blåljusflyg” samt Försvarsmakten.

Luftrummet runt Åre Östersund Airport respektive Röros lufthavn är kontrollerat, så kallad C luftrum i form av TMA respektive CTR. Runt Röros lufthavn finns dessutom tre Danger Areas inrättade väster om flygplatsen respektive öster om flygplatsen. Dessa Danger Areas aktiveras via NOTAM (Notice To Air Men) och är exempel på luftrum som kan avsättas för testverksamhet.

Luftrummet mellan Åre Östersund Airport respektive Röros lufthavn utanför TMA respektive CTR samt under ca 3000 me- ter är okontrollerat, så kallad G luftrum. Luftrummet för tester kommer att anpassas så att det inte stör omgivningen.

EMC Laboratory

Green Flyway Östersund works closely with SAAB’s EMC laboratory in Östersund and assists you in booking tests. The laboratory is only 12 kilometers from Green Flyway’s hangar.

First aid / Fire services / Hospital

During the winter test center’s opening hours, a professional first aid service on call is on site. Only 10 minutes to hospital.

Sveg

In Sveg the first electric winter test flight was made in 2019 with the whole electric aircraft Phinix . We can arrange demonstrations and support development testing and training courses for both qualified and unqualified systems in Sveg. Green Flyway is an unique arena enabling test of unmanned systems and manned aircraft. Furthermore, we will arrange all the permits and approvals required for your specific missions.

AFIS flight information with TIZ/RMZ airspace.
In 2019, new coating was laid on all existing paved surfaces and new construction of 10,000 m² of installation space. This meant that the load carrying capacity of the runway as well as the apron nearly tripled and we can today handle aircraft that operate a 3C airport.
